it must be fall.  i guess dolphins hate the sun and heat as much as i do because they just didn’t seem to come out to play during the summer all that much.  this morning i happened to look out the window just in time to see them really close in but they went back to deeper water just as i walked out on the balcony.  there were a couple swimmers in the water (probably thirty yards away) watching them as well.  i watched them jumping, frolicking, and having a good ole time for about ten minutes.  they’re so much fun to watch.  i think two of them may have been having some *ahem* happy fun time.  they seemed to be locked together and were just going around in circles like that for several minutes.  if i would have noticed and gone outside just a few minutes earlier, while they were in the shallows, i’m sure i could have gotten some fantastic pix.  shame, that.  hopefully as fall continues there will be more opportunities to get new and improved pix.  have i mentioned lately that i love my backyard?
