we had two, that’s right, two halloween parties this year.  my cousin’s anniversary bash was friday night and an old friend invited us to another on saturday night.  color us popular!  i managed to find a fun costume for $8 thursday night and, i’ve got to say, i really had a great time with it.

the night got a bit strange when some politicians showed up with a mad scientist.

as usual, the real fun started when the karaoke got turned on. it’s truly a shame for everyone involved that i kept bogarting the mic the whole night since i soooo cannot sing.

the saturday night party was a much bigger affair but we didn’t know anyone except my friend casey.  it was wonderful for people watching and there were great costumes.  i didn’t take any pix inside the house as i didn’t want to upset people with the flash, which is probably just as well because my cousin would have been shamed by the decor.  we’re talking all out.  every wall and ceiling in the house was covered.  the ceiling was covered in black sheeting and then webs with creepy stuff hanging in them.  the walls and sofas were all covered with “bloody” sheets and other goulish things.  the windows had great spook illusions.  there were black lights everywhere (my candy corn costume was glowing like crazy!).  it was really well done.
