i was dead asleep this morning.  so dead asleep that by the time the alarm clock finally woke me, it had been going for about four minutes.  i could count on one hand the number of times in my life that i didn’t hear the alarm (not counting times when something happened to make it nearly inaudible).  this morning, i was too deep in a dream to hear it.  and, oh boy, what a dream.  basically, i dreamt that my brother and his wife had three kids and never told us.  i even asked how it was possible that we had never seen her pregnant or seen the kids when we visit them every single time we’re in town.  the explanation i got is that she didn’t show much during her pregnancies and her mom kept the kids a lot.  i was furious.  i yelled at them for hiding our nieces and nephew from us and not wanting us to know them.  they were very matter-of-fact saying they just didn’t think it was a big deal and had never much thought about it when we spent time together.  the dream went on and on and was uber-realistic but that was the gist of it.  i was thoroughly angry at both my brother and his wife when i woke up.  i might have to call her later and make sure they’re not hiding anything from me!
